Intentional Movement

How you move and how you breathe have a direct impact on how your brain and body function. We combine mindful breathing, gentle stretching, and intentional movement to help balance brain and body systems.

Mindful breathing is a technique that encourages full exchange of carbon dioxide for oxygen in our bodies.

 

This type of purposeful breathing strengthens the diaphragm, slows the heart rate, and can also lower or stabilize blood pressure.

 

Stretching and intentional movement is important at any age. 

Both have many benefits, including:

* Reducing fall risk

* Improving posture

* Relieving stress and tension

* Improving flexibility and balance
* Decreasing lower back and arthritic pain
* Increasing circulation and energy
